What’s your opinion on plugs (stretched ear piercings) and a question on placement?
I think they’re great, but in moderation. Anything bigger than one inch isn’t attractive in my eyes. I currently have 10’s and I’m keeping them there for now because my parents have drawn the line.
Placement: I had my ears peirced when I was 8 and a second hole at 12, cartilage at 13. I’m afraid my bottom hole is too low and if I ever decide to upsize it will look strange or worse, tear because the skin gets too thin. Should I let my lower ear-piercings close up and get them re-done later? (Will they ever close or has it been too long?)
I know about the different types of gauges, the sizing chart, and the aftercare. I know I need to let them heal for a few weeks (or months, depending) and all of that. My parents don’t mind me having them, they just want me to keep them small.
i too agree that there is limit to how big you should go, i started out with the normal ear piercing size, then had the stretch a bit by a professional to a 10 gauge,then i took over by myself.i now have 00 and they look perfectly fine. so no worries about the skin getting to thin. but if you have worries or questions go to a piercing shop and chat it up.
